Goonellabah Medical Centre participates in the Byron Bay to Ballina Coastal Charity Walk every year.
The ‘Chopper Walk’ helps fundraising for the Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter which is an important service to all communities in this area.
The ‘Chopper Walk’ is a 12km, 24km or 35km coastal walk which includes walking the beaches, bush tracks and roads starting in Byron Bay. Participants can finish at Broken Head (12km), Lennox Head (24km) or Ballina (37km).
The weather gave us a superb mild and sunny day for the 2017 walk. We congratulate all who participated in the walk and encourage others to consider joining in for 2018.
