Telehealth

Telehealth Appointments for Accessible Care

Telehealth services for Medical Care.

At Goonellabah Medical Centre, we prioritise face-to-face consultations to ensure the highest level of quality healthcare from your doctor. However, we understand that certain circumstances require alternative options.

Telehealth appointments are available for patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 or when your GP is working remotely due to illness.

In some cases, your GP may reach out to you by telephone to discuss test results or monitor your progress if you have been unwell. For telehealth appointments, our reception team will contact you to arrange payment. Rest assured that your health and well-being remain our top priority, and we strive to provide comprehensive care tailored to your specific needs.

What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is an innovative approach to healthcare that harnesses technology to provide remote medical services. Through secure and confidential video (or telephone) consultations, Telehealth allows you to connect with our experienced doctors and healthcare providers from any location, eliminating the need for in-person visits. This virtual platform enables you to discuss your health concerns,  seek medical advice, and even have prescriptions issued when appropriate.

With Telehealth, distance is no longer a barrier to accessing healthcare, making it a convenient and effective solution for some conditions.
